More Classes this Fall!

Steel City Improv Theater is happy to announce more level one improv classes to choose from this fall beginning the week of September 15th.  Registration has begun for all three of these Level One or Beginner classes.  Sign up before August 26th and save $50!

Auditions for SCIT Thursday Night House Teams are up!

It’s house team audition time!! The next round of auditions will be on Saturday, April 22 starting at 1 pm. It’s not an open audition – you have to sign up for a time slot. Being on a house team is an amazing opportunity to get even better as an improviser. House Team members get to perform every Thursday with other awesome improvisers. Sign up now at !

The Dating Game!

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, our annual Dating Game was a rousing success! The sold out audience had a great time, and host David Conway helped put together three lovely couples who immediately went for a dinner date at the Urban Tap!

A big thank you to all who participated, saw and shared on social media! It was a great night!

The Return of Philip Markle!


We are excited to announce the return of Philip Markle!  He will be presenting his new workshop, “Burn Your Fear” at the SCIT on December 22nd.  Sign up early and save $10.  Do not miss this workshop.  Philip is an amazing teacher and will definitely up your improv game!



Philip Markle moved to NYC in 2013 to launch the theatre and training center of The Annoyance Theater NY, where he acted as its Executive Director until Fall, 2016.
