We have some exciting news! There’s a new Justin in tahn. Justin Borak will be joining the SCIT team as the 2022 summer Artistic Director (AD). Sounds cool! But what does this mean? Justin will teach classes and workshops, coach a Harold team with a limited run of shows, and serve as the point person for the producers of shows from May thru August.
Justin will be teaching Level 1 Improv and Level 2 Improv. Make sure you’re subscribed to our mailing list to find out what workshops he’ll be teaching, and when those will be!
The Harold team will have a “Chicago style” focus. No, it won’t be deep dish or have pickles and mustard instead of ketchup. Generally, the Chicago Harold places more emphasis on the Harold as a whole, theatrical piece. You’ll have to come experience it for yourself! The summer Harold team will be performing at 8 pm on these Fridays: May 27, June 10, June 24, July 8, July 22, and August 12.
We are looking forward to Justin offering his point of view to students, performers, and producers. His involvement is another great reason you should be sure to check out our classes (registering now!) as well as our summer shows.
We hope that this will be the first of many collaborations like this, in which the SCIT invites a visiting artist to share their knowledge of their craft with SCITizens and generally shake things up a bit!
Please check out Justin’s bio below. See yinz this summer!
