The four founders of Happy Valley Improv in State College, Pennsylvania started performing together three years ago. In the basement of a church. Alone. Their small town group, Alone in a Church, is character-based, narrative improv. It’s narrativey. Charactery, too. Get ready for a new kind of mass.

THE LEGEND OF BAGGER VANCE

The Legend of Bagger Vance is a New York based improv team that starts on Earth and leaves you wondering where they left you, but still somehow glad you’re there. Full of crazy players and even crazier moves, your sides will hurt after seeing their set and that’s just as good as going to the gym.

GENTLEMAN’S FALCON

With training from iO, Annoyance, and Second City, the Gentleman’s Falcon formed in the windy city and were regular performers in the Chicago improv scene until it came time for some of them to leave the Mid-nest…Now, scattered across the country in Portland, Pittsburgh, Charleston, and Chicago (and with two of them now being Father Falcons)… They seize any opportunity they can to flock to the same city and take flight. Gentleman’s Falcon specializes in attacking the scene with high energy, physicality, and a penchant for whimsy. Gentleman’s Falcon is: James Dugan, Drew Eiden, Mike Kauffman, and Henry Riggs. CAW!

DEVIL’S DAUGHTER
CHICAGO, IL
Created in January of 2014, Devil’s Daughter has consistently performed at iO Chicago as an official Harold Team. They are the proud winners of “Best New Harold Team” for the 2014 season and are undefeated in the iO Harold Team CageMatch. The cast consists of a group of seasoned actors and performers who bring their unique voices to the stage to create a Harold piece that is unique, sometimes experimental and highly entertaining. Devil’s Daughter isn’t afraid to present a piece that makes you sad, scared or questioning of your very existence.

The Union is Steel City Improv’s teacher team and recently won Best Local Comedy Troupe in the City Paper’s 2019 Best Of Poll. The Union is Justin Zell, Kasey Daley, Alyssa Tomasella, Ryan Nuzzo, and Scott Duda.

JAYMES GRETCHKY
CHICAGO, IL
Jaymes Gretchky is a two-person comedy team featuring James Dugan and Gretchen Eng that performs a patient exploration of a relationship in an improvised scene. With a single suggestion, they will create a rich world of relatable characters and circumstances that will entertain, provoke, and captivate the audience. Both James and Gretchen are regular performers and teachers at iO Chicago, and have experience performing all over the world.

Hotel Nowhere is an award winning improv team that weaves comedy, drama, love, family, and continental breakfasts into a show unlike anything else. Originally a house team at the Steel City Improv Theater the team has since performed in festivals throughout the country.

THE RAVING JAYNES
NEW YORK CITY, NY
The Raving Jaynes (Jamie Graham & Amy Larimer) mix dance, improv, and physical theater to tell entirely-improvised stories. Nothing is choreographed! Nothing is scripted! In ‘Mad-Liberation,’ they unfold a unique story inspired by an audience-generated Mad Lib. They’ve been called the “real deal: sharp, witty, gorgeous, and utterly unique.” (Dance Enthusiast).
