Poetry inspired by improv inspired by poetry! This potato is hot, and it gets mashier as we pass it around.
A special guest artist (Joanna Lowe) will share a set of original performance art – which might include poems, stories, or comedy. In between each piece, we will pass the potato to a team of improvisers, and they will create a series of new scenes inspired by the material. At the end of the show, poet and improviser Torrey Shineman will deliver the final mashed potato – a new original poem created during the show, mashing up themes and characters from throughout the night.
