FINDING THE GAME OF THE SCENE
It’s an ephemeral concept, something that can be confusing even to people who have been improvising for a while. You know it when you see it, but how do you know it when you feel it? In this workshop, we talk about finding the game through initiating with a premise, and discovering the game organically. Do I need to make something happen? Does it have to be a hilarious thing? What makes something the first interesting or unusual thing? How do I heighten it? How do I not screw up my scene partner’s great idea? Trust, listening, making decisions, adding information- everything that goes into finding the game of the scene, and making it work.

Prerequisite: Recommended for SCIT Level One and up (or similar experience)
